# Signing in

The app is at **genuineai.app**. Sign in with the email address your invitation was
sent to, or with the one you registered.

## Create an account

If nobody has invited you yet, you can register an account yourself, but only with a
**work email address**. Registration rejects personal and disposable mail providers:

> A business email is required. Please sign up with your business email address.
> Personal email providers are not supported.

Registration also refuses to create a second workspace for a domain that already has
one:

> Your organization is already signed up. Your organization already has an account on
> this platform. Please ask your organization's administrator to add you as a team
> member.

This is deliberate. Two workspaces for the same organization means two libraries, two
sets of knowledge and two bills, and they cannot be merged afterward. If you see this
message, ask whoever set the account up for an invitation. See [inviting your
team](/guide/start/inviting-your-team).

## Reset your password

Use the password reset on the sign-in screen. An administrator can also trigger one for
you from **Administration → Users**, which sends the same email. Administrators cannot
see or set your password.

## Multiple workspaces

One sign-in can belong to several workspaces: an agency with a workspace per client, or
a group with one per division. When it does, the header shows a workspace switcher
labeled **Switch Organization**, with the current workspace marked.

Switching reloads the app. Everything is scoped to the workspace you are in: the
library, the knowledge, the agents, the people, the credits. Nothing crosses over, and
roles are per workspace, so you can be an administrator in one and a viewer in another.

## The account menu

The menu under your name in the header holds the workspace switcher, **Account
Settings** and **Logout**. Account Settings is where your personal settings live, in
four tabs:

| | |
|---|---|
| **Preferences** | Theme (Light or Dark), language, your default agent for new chats, and whether the AI keeps [memory](/guide/ai/memory) about you. |
| **Notifications** | Which events reach you, by category. |
| **Security** | Sign-ins and password changes on your account. |
| **API Keys** | Credentials for calling the API, when your plan and roles include them. |

Your profile picture and a **Reset password** button sit beside the tabs.

The language setting changes the app's own labels. It does not change the language your
agents answer in, which is set on the agent.

**Security Activity** lists recent sign-ins and password changes with the date, IP address
and approximate location, so you can confirm nothing unexpected has used your account.

## When something is unavailable

Three different things make a feature unavailable, and none of them is an error:

| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| A screen or menu item is missing entirely | Your roles do not include it, or the module is not in your plan, which looks exactly the same. An administrator can tell the two apart: **Administration → Billing** names the plan, and **Change plan** shows what each plan includes. If the module is in yours, it is a role question. See [permissions and access](/guide/admin/permissions) and [plans and modules](/guide/admin/plans-and-modules). |
| "You're out of credits" | AI features are paused until the workspace is topped up; see [usage and credits](/guide/admin/usage-and-credits). |

## App updates

The app updates itself. When a new version is deployed while you have the app open, the
update is applied quietly on your next move through the sidebar. That one navigation is
a full page load instead of an instant switch, and afterward you are on the new version.
There is nothing to install, nothing to answer, and no version to keep in step with the
rest of your team.
