# Welcome

GenuineAI is one place to keep what your organization has made (photography, brand,
product knowledge, published copy) together with the AI that works on it.

Think of it as one library with several ways into it rather than as a set of separate
features. A photo you upload is analyzed, described and tagged once. After that, the
same photo is what an agent cites in a chat, what the design editor drops into a
template, what the presentation generator reaches for when a slide needs an image, and
what goes out in a social post. Nothing is copied between products, because there are no
separate products.

## Your workspace

Everything you do happens inside a **workspace**: your organization's own library,
knowledge, agents, people and plan.

A workspace is a hard boundary. Nothing in yours is visible from anyone else's, and the
separation is enforced in the database rather than by application code that has to
remember to filter. See [security and tenancy](/security-and-tenancy) for the details a
security reviewer will ask about.

You can belong to more than one workspace with the same sign-in. When you do, a switcher
appears in the header. See [signing in](/guide/start/signing-in).

## What a workspace holds

| | |
|---|---|
| **Media library** | Every file your organization has uploaded, with AI descriptions, tags, quality ratings and recognized people. |
| **Documents** | Data sheets, contracts, manuals and other business documents, in folders, read by the AI and searchable by what they say. |
| **Studio** | Where things get made: designs, AI images, infographics, presentations, and website content. |
| **Knowledge** | The facts your AI answers from: products, locations, FAQs, and anything else you keep as a knowledge base. |
| **Brand Identity** | Your colors, fonts, logos and written guidelines, which everything generated is held to. |
| **AI Chat** | Conversation with your agents, over your library and your knowledge. |
| **Administration** | People, roles, plan, credits, storage and the audit trail. |

## What makes it more than file storage

Three differences change how you work, and they are worth knowing on day one:

**The library describes itself.** Upload a photo and within minutes it has a caption,
keywords, a quality rating, and the people in it recognized. You search for "the outdoor
team shot from the spring campaign" rather than for `IMG_4471.jpg`.

**Your brand is built into the software.** Colors, fonts, logos and tone are stored as
[Brand Identity](/guide/studio/brand-identity), and generated work is produced against
them rather than corrected afterward.

**The AI answers from your material.** Agents read your knowledge bases and your
library, not the open internet. When an answer is wrong, correcting the knowledge behind
it changes the answer everywhere at once.

## Where to go next

- **New to the app?** [Workspace tour](/guide/start/tour) walks the sidebar top to
  bottom in about five minutes.
- **Setting it up for other people?** Start with [inviting your
  team](/guide/start/inviting-your-team) and [users and
  roles](/guide/admin/users-and-roles).
- **Here to get one thing done?** The tabs above cover the product area by area, and
each opens on its own contents.

<Callout type="note">
If you are integrating GenuineAI with your own systems rather than using the app,
see the [developer documentation](/developers) instead. It is the same platform and the
same permissions, described as an API.
